Use your EVM wallet on PermaTell
Already have an Ethereum (EVM) wallet? Import its key into PermawebOS, a browser wallet for Arweave and AO, and use it on PermaTell.
What you can do
- Create your PermaTell profile.
- Create POMPs.
- Claim POMPs.
- Pay the POMP create fee with USDC on Base.
1. Install PermawebOS
PermawebOS is a browser extension (public beta) that holds Arweave and AO accounts — including imported Ethereum keys. Install it in your browser, then pin it so it's easy to open.

First, export the private key of the account you want to use from your EVM wallet (most wallets have an export option in the account details). Do this on a device you trust.
- Open PermawebOS and choose “I have a wallet”, then “Import keyfile”.
- Under “or paste an Ethereum private key”, paste your key into the “Ethereum private key” field.
- PermawebOS shows the Arweave address, AO / ANS-104 address and Ethereum address for the key. Check that the Ethereum address is the 0x address you expect.
- Give the account a name and set a password (enter it twice). The password protects the key in this browser and can't be recovered, so keep your own backup of the key.
- Click “Import wallet”.
Already using PermawebOS? Open your wallet list and choose “Import wallet” to open the same form.
You can also drop an encrypted Ethereum JSON keyfile instead of pasting a key; PermawebOS asks for its “Ethereum keyfile password” once.
3. Connect to PermaTell
- In PermawebOS, switch to the account you just imported.
- On PermaTell, click Connect Wallet, choose “PermawebOS (beta)” and approve the prompt in PermawebOS.
- Open the wallet menu (top right): “ETH · AO identity” shows your 0x address. You can now create your profile, claim POMPs and create POMPs.
4. How the create fee works
Your first 10 POMP creates are free.
After that, each create costs 0.001 AR. EVM-key accounts pay the same value in USDC on Base, priced at the live AR rate.
The price is locked for 15 minutes once quoted. The payment is verified on-chain after 3 confirmations, then your create goes ahead.
Pay from an EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby that holds USDC on Base (plus a little ETH on Base for gas). If you pay from the same 0x address as your PermaTell account, no extra signature is needed; from any other address, PermawebOS asks you to sign a short binding message so the payment counts for your account.
MetaMask (or any other EVM wallet) is only used to send the USDC payment. It can't sign in to PermaTell, claim or create on its own — for that, import the key into PermawebOS as above.
Not supported yet for EVM keys
- Minting the tradable 1/1 Unique after a claim.
- POAP mode (migrating existing POAPs to POMPs).
- Story mints.
- Paying the create fee in AR.
These still need an Arweave-key wallet, such as Wander or an Arweave account in PermawebOS.
Why you may see two addresses
One key can be written as more than one address. On PermaTell and AO your identity is your checksummed 0x address. PermawebOS also lists Arweave-style addresses for the same key.
Some older POMPs recorded the Arweave-style address instead of the 0x address. Both belong to the same key, so those POMPs are still yours.
Stay safe
Only import a private key into wallet software you trust, and only from a device you trust.
PermaTell will never ask for your private key — not in the app, by DM or by email. Anyone who asks for it is trying to steal your funds.
Consider importing a dedicated account that doesn't hold significant funds.
